After last year’s weight loss of 4 stone and my 2 previous weeks of successful weight loss I have felt rather elated over the whole thing .. yep strange I know!
Then the snow hit and it has continued to plague my fitness efforts this week by causing all Hockey training to be cancelled and has stopped me getting out walking properly with my pushchair.
Then to top it off I have now succumbed to Tonsillitis, although it has not completely taken hold like it has in the past, I have to say I am not feeling very sprightly. Needless to say I have not been as good as I should have been ……….
Ok I lied ….
I have eaten crap!
Firstly this fellow:
I am bad I know and I have no excuse, however this was the most amazing thing EVER!
So my exercise targets for last week were:
- A minimum of 3 x 2 mile walks … again!
- Attend both hockey training sessions (junior with Beth & ladies = 180 mins)
- No Hockey match … so just get my bum from the sofa!!
So a big fat fail for me on the exercise front, so how have I done
+ 0.7lbs, yep that’s right I have gained
I am not going to stress over it but I am starting the next week how I mean to go on and praying that my husband does not bring home boxes of Jaffa cakes from work … again!!
Total Weight Loss This Year (minus my gain this week):
6lbs
Total Loss (including last year)
4 Stone 6lbs
Next Week’s Exercise:
- A minimum of 3 x 2 mile walks
- Attend both hockey training sessions (junior with Beth & ladies = 180 mins)
- No Hockey match on Saturday so get out for a long walk on Sunday
Having found the fab Kate from Naked Mum who is also on a weight loss journey I am linking up here so I can gain encouragement from others who are also on this long journey and also to spread some support to others.
1 bad week will not scupper me!
Hey, you shouldn’t beat yourself up about it. The last thing you want to be thinking about when you are ill and the cold weather hits you is “losing weight and diets”. When you’re ill enjoy a little comfort food and KNOW that once you are well and back on track you can continue yor efforts.
Well done and keep up the good effort. Further rewards are just around the corner.
Andy
Thanks Andy, I am so going to keep going i still cant quite believe that i have lost over 4 1/2 stone already! I am so going to loose the next 3 stone this year! 🙂
Thanks for popping over and thanks for your support 🙂

Exercise was difficult this week. I only managed some walking in the snow, yoga and a wii fit session. No run obviously.
Well done with what you’ve lost so far and good luck losing the rest.
Thanks Jane, its certainly been tough and i know its going to get tougher yet! but why do cream cakes and crap still taste so so good! lol
Glad to read you are staying positve, so have doen so well so far. Mich x
Thanks Mich, it really has been a crap week for me, on wards and upwards!
Jaime you are doing incredibly well, I wish I had the determination to lose weight like you have. I’m so impressed and bloody jealous! After what you have achieved nobody could deny you an iced finger. They are one little sucker that I could never turn down.
I hope your throat is feeling better tonsilitis is nasty x

Hope you’re feeling better now. That cake looks far too good to miss! Everyone has their bad weeks – keep going, you can do this! 🙂 x
thanks Vicky, i still feel a little like death warmed up but just want to get out walking but this icesnow is driving me mad! 🙂 xx
Hope you are feeling better. The weight you have lost already is amazing. Very inspirational!
I got held up on the exercise front due to snow and chest infection. Hoping to do better this week.
Thanks so much for linking up and engaging with #WobblesWednesday.
Thanks Kate, i am so glad i found your linky! its what i have been looking for, its a hard slog on your own!!
Heres to better health for both of us this week and some more exercise! lol
Hope you’re feeling better. Tonsilitis is the pits! I’m back on the exercise wagon, after 3 months off with damaged knee ligaments. Going to try and run (stumble, slowly gasping for air, as I turn puce, and likely will be unable to walk the next day – before I had Matthew I ran regularly, I am SO unfit now!)
Good luck next week!
lol i still run like that while playing hockey .. i think i always will! lol
good luck to you too, when are you off running?
I am hoping to start back next week. We still have a lot of ice and snow on the ground on most of the pavements around here, I am not keen on running on them, while they are still so lethal! 😉
wise move wait for the ice to sod off, breaking a bone is so not worth it! 🙂
