Sports Bra – Figleaves.com

Sports Bra

While on my weight loss journey and looking for a Sports Bra I was very kindly given the Opportunity by Figleaves to have a look at their massive range of sports bras and to pick one to try!

So where to start?? Figleaves had one of the biggest ranges of Sports Bras I have found. They came in every different, Brand, Style, Colour and support levels. They also had such a vast range of sizes, which was super helpful since I am such an odd size and normally struggle with being able to buy any kind of bra!

While looking for my Sports Bra the helpful team at Figleaves pointed me in the right direction for what to look for in a Sports Bra and why and provided me with this handy information (which you can find HERE) I was also given some advice from the lovely Irene Dmyterko (Technical Manager) from Figleaves –

The principle is the same for finding out your sports bra sizing as for a normal bra. . You will need to try different brands and sizes to get the level of support you require and that it does not rub or chafe. It is important to ensure you will achieve the level of support you require for your chosen activity. When fitting mimic the activity you will be doing to ensure the bra stays in place.

You may well end up with a different size to your regular normal bra size.

The breast is supported by the Coopers ligament which stretches when you exercise and can cause them to sag. A good bra will cut breast movement by up to 80%. Look for seamless cups and wider padded straps for comfort”

It was also handy to know that since Figleaves advice is to try on several brands and different sizes to get the best fit possible they do also offer a free returns policy, which also helps to make getting the right size easier!

Having taken this on board I ordered the Lovely Anita Active Extreme Control Sports Bra in black, and this actually fitted best in a different size than my day to day bra!

On arrival I have to say I was utterly blown away by the care that my new Sports Bra had been shown! It arrived very promptly in a lovely slim line box and on opening someone had very kindly wrapped my bra inside some tissue  paper …. Although all it was only tissue paper I thought it quite a thoughtful presentation.

Now me being me I have no patience so I had to try it on immediately!

I love the material on the back panels of the bra they have tiny airflow holes in it, the wide elasticated band under the bust was so comfy and with a 3 hook and eye fastening system I did feel incredibly secure. It has lovely wide straps which are adjustable.

Having now completed 2 Hockey Training sessions in this Sports Bra I have to say! Yippee!

Sports Bra Review

And yes that is me training in the rain, wearing this bra, however this is the closest  I am going to reveal of my body on my blog!

With being on the larger side physically (not the boob department) I am always conscious about running while playing Hockey as its never massively attractive to see everything swinging free neither boobs nor belly! I don’t have to worry about my boobs anymore since my little bangers are more than secure and don’t seem to move at all! This is obviously a bonus since now the bangers are under control and fully looked after I can now concentrate on getting the rest of me that flaps about in the breeze under control and loose some more weight!

Having found this bra not only looks great but does an amazing job I would not hesitate to recommend it to others who carry out any high impact exercise.
