FPF -Reading

This last week with the rotten weather we have spent a lot of time indoors trying to keep snuggly and warm.

Joshua although has had several books for quite some time he has never really sat down to look through them, normally he has collected them up and put them in his ride on truck or has posted them under the sofa!

This week he has really taken to sitting and looking at the pictures. He has even followed us round with some books in tow wanting to sit with one of us for us to read them to him.

It really has been lovely this week to spend some quiet quality time reading with him as we have all been involved.

Not surprisingly Beth is his favourite reader as she is such a great reader and even includes different voices for each character!

I will be linking up again with the lovely Charlotte from The Crumby Mummy for her Fun Photo Fun linky, why not give it a go!

  1. Boys and reading.. I have one who loves it and one that can’t be bothered. So lovely that your Josh is taking an interest and that you had some lovely time to share together.

What lovely pictures, it is so sweet watching their interest in books develop. The picture of Beth reading to him is precious. How lovely it will be for Joshua when he grows up, to look back at his big sis entertaining him

That’s why I kind of started blogging really for both kids to really see what we all did together and independently. I also wanted to kids when they are older to read my words and connect with Jaime not just Mum if that makes sense?

  3. Aw bless him, I LOVE the picture of Beth reading to Joshua so cute! I love reading with Eva and like Beth I do different voices for each character which Eva loves lol

Lovely post! Bob loves her books! I think it’s so nie when children love books, especially as they are now surrounded by noisy, flashing toys. I’m a bit reader and hope Bob will be too. Thanks for linking up! x

  5. Oh we LOVE reading! I love sitting with my wee man…and watching him with others…and sometimes he will even “read” to himself!

  6. Reading with children is such a nice thing to do although there are certain books that I now have to hide because I simply can’t bear to read them ‘one more time, mama’ 🙂

    • Jaime Oliver says:

lol we are going to invest in some new ones as to be fair there a about 5 now that i would love to ‘hide’ although they are good books i have just heard/read enough! lol
